Jason Velez - Managing Partner
Jason’s strong role at
Creekside Metal Handrails blends steady leadership with field experience capability. On any given day, he’s scrutinizing shop drawings, organizing installation schedules, and making sure fabrication workflows run smoothly. He’s the first to jump in on a layout issue or help offer his two cents on a tricky weld detail, and he’s equally comfortable talking through a design concept with an architect as he is rolling up his sleeves on-site. His goal is always the same: keep projects moving, keep communication clear, and deliver work that represents Creekside’s standards.
Before joining Creekside, Jason built his foundation at a few respected Bay Area fabrication shops, working his way through roles in welding, estimating, and project coordination. Those early years gave him a deep respect for craftsmanship, deadlines, and teamwork. As he progressed into management positions, he earned a reputation for being the kind of leader people genuinely enjoy working with—firm when necessary, fair by default, and always willing to selflessly share what he knows.
Our return and first-time customers appreciate Jason because he’s approachable and straight-forward. He takes the time to listen, establishes clear expectations, and ensures clients understand what’s possible, what’s practical, what will stand the test of time, and what it will cost to make that happen. Outside of work, Jason keeps things grounded. He has a close circle of friends, with whom he enjoys following the San Jose Quakes, and exploring new spots around the Bay Area for mountain biking and hiking. He’s the type who shows up to a weekend barbecue with a good attitude and a willingness to help do all the dishes. That down-to-earth nature carries into his professional life, making him someone clients and coworkers feel comfortable relying on year after year.
